Headteacher Message

Headteacher Message

A very warm welcome to our primary school.

We opened our doors as a primary on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 and it is a great privilege to be Headteacher at our primary journey with such a caring, enthusiastic and supportive team. I have enjoyed numerous roles and responsibilities over twenty seven years at our school and never have been more excited about our new venture. Together – children, parents, teachers, learning support assistants, office team, catering team, cleaning team- we will go far and enable every child’s potential to shine.

At Meadowdale, ‘blink and you miss out’. We have so many exciting learning opportunities in and outside of the classroom planned by our expert teachers. We strive as a community to make every child feel valued as an individual. We work closely with parents to ensure that we care for our children, keeping them safe, happy and cared for every day.

Meadowdale Primary is a thriving school community where high aspirations and a caring family ethos are at the heart of what we do.

Our provisions are shaped by a deep understanding of the needs of our pupils. We strive to deliver a relevant, engaging and challenging curriculum through a culture of high expectations and a consistent aspiration to do our best. We do not rest until good becomes better and better becomes best.

We are fortunate to be supported by our amazing parents and carers. The home-school partnership is key to ensuring successful learning for every  child.

On arriving at Meadowdale, you immediately feel the enthusiasm, friendliness and passion of everyone in the community. We believe that your children’s journey to learning is lifelong and we feel privileged that Meadowdale Primary is where this very important journey begins from the arrival of our Rising threes at the very start of a rewarding journey all the way to becoming High School Ready in Yr 6. We currently have Yr 8 pupils who have chosen to stay with us as our middle school status is phased out.

We endeavour to realise our ambition of ‘More than a Primary’ 2020 onwards with expert teachers in KS2 and a newly appointed EYFS lead in April 2020.

Visits from families considering Meadowdale Academy for their child’s education are most welcome and can be arranged via the school office.

Our door is always open, never fear we are always here to support our community in which we serve and to ensure every child is nurtured and encouraged to be their very best.
