Consultation News

The Governors of Meadowdale Academy wish to thank all those who have taken part in our consultation process. 139 responses were received on the age range change consultation on the designated response form. Reviewing and deliberating the mainly positive responses (73% of stakeholders were in favour of the proposals) received upon the consultation and the academy’s answers have been an extremely valuable and productive experience. We believe that, as a result, the consultation response will inform our future decision. We have considered and responded to all questions and concerns raised. We will move forward to pursue a proposal that benefits the Bedlington partnership and ensures that the legacy of Meadowdale Academy is there for the Bedlington community that it serves. Thank you.

In response to the consultation and concerns raised by the Local Authority we are now holding further discussions with the Local Authority and the two feeder first schools to reach an alternative compromise that benefits the future of all parties.

Options are being discussed and explored to agree upon a collaborative solution of moving forward together. We are in the process of meeting with the Local Authority and first schools and once there is a consensus, the consultation report will outline the outcomes.
